Halloween and Thanksgiving

I really wanted to wear a cute maternity Halloween shirt today. I was going to DIY one because it would be easy enough to do with a plain black tshirt and an iron on decal but I never got around to it. Oh well.

Some of this extra pregnancy weight means that my thighs now rub together when I walk. I cannot think of any physical feeling as repugnant as my thighs rubbing together. It is really disgusting. Also, I'm wearing corduroy pants today and every time I walk down the hall my rubbing thighs make the sound: VRRRT! VRRRT! VRRRT! So embarrassing.

I had been feeling a little bummed that no one would be around for Thanksgiving this year since my cousin will be about five minutes away from giving birth and not in any condition for a five hour drive (but we have Skype! They can be here virtually!) I love cooking a big meal for everyone but had come to terms with roasting a big turkey for two. It turns out that our friends Rocky and Sandy will around and their friend and his wife will be around! I get to cook for a crowd after all!

The best part? I called Polyface Farms this morning to reserve my pasture raised turkey and Sandy and I are driving out to pick it up this weekend! I am so beyond excited - I hope I get a glimpse Joel Salatin!
